Dear Mediator,

Mediators at various stages of their practices have frequently come to us seeking more training and education. We responded to these requests by offering the Supervised Practicum and Advanced Trainings. As Divorce Mediation has become more popular, the public has been asking for a way to identify qualified Practitioners. Likewise, Mediators have been looking for ways to assure their clients of their competence.

With this in mind, we are excited to announce the beginning of the CMT Certification Program, a comprehensive Advanced Program where Mediators can learn necessary skills along with in-depth knowledge of the relevant practice areas. The program will launch on Tuesday, January 3rd with our first presentation, “When Marriages Fail, Parenting Can Still Succeed: The Alphabet Soup of Parenting Plans.” Going forward, we will be meeting on the first Tuesday of each month from 5:00-8:30 PM at our New York City offices.

Directly before and after each monthly presentation (between 4:30-5:00 PM and 8:30-9:00 PM), the Program Trainers will be available by appointment to answer any questions you may have and to provide supervision on cases you are currently mediating. A light dinner will be served, starting at 5:00 PM.

Please visit our CMT Certification Page for details on the Program. Several people have already enrolled and have begun their Mentorship Cases. To apply for the program or if you have any questions, please call Danielle or Ken at the Center at 212-799-4302 or e-mail
