Continuing Education and Accreditation

We provide CLEs for attorneys (41 hours) and CEUs for mental health professionals (40 hours).

Our Basic Training in Divorce Mediation is approved under Part 146 by the NYS Unified Court System’s Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs. Completion of the course does not guarantee acceptance on the NYS court roster. More information.

While there is no widely recognized accreditation or licensure for private family and divorce mediators, we have done our best to align our program with the membership/certification requirements of various professional mediation associations.

Across different practice areas within the field of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), there is a convention of 40-hour basic trainings. Our program has been approved by the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) as a 40-hour comprehensive divorce mediation training, and has also been verified by the Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM).

Alumni of our program are eligible to receive a 50% discount on their first year membership with APFM.

Our program includes two hours of introductory training on the issue of Domestic Violence, as required by both the ACR and the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation (NYSCDM).
