QDROs & How to Read People on Zoom
Trainers: Steve Abel and Ken Neumann
This is a two-part training that will take place online on May 22 & 29 from 5:30-7:30 PM.
RETIREMENT PLANS: A Slow Walk Down a Rocky Road with Steven Abel
If dealing with retirement plans makes you feel uncomfortable, you’re not alone. There’s just no way to avoid the fact that this is usually the most complicated piece of divorce mediation. Sometimes the problem is understanding all of the arcane language and choices involved in dividing retirement plans upon divorce. In plain English, Steve will describe what the couple needs to agree upon, then walk you through two typical QDROs, so you under-stand exactly what the language and terms mean.
HOW TO “READ PEOPLE” ON ZOOM with Ken Neumann
We’ve all worked hard to learn how to “read people” throughout our lives and especially in the “mediation room”. Now, we need to develop new techniques when working on Zoom. Ken Neumann, with over 40 years of mediation experience, will not only share with you what he has learned but will teach you through role play exercises (all on Zoom) how to truly “read people” on Zoom.
60 Hour Supervised Practicum
The 60 hour Supervised Practicum is the Center’s Advanced Training program that gives new mediators the opportunity to mediate actual cases with live supervision from our expert trainers. Learn more.
