60-Hour Supervised Practicum for Divorce Mediators
Develop Your Skills and Knowledge by Mediating Actual Cases with Live SupervisionThe Supervised Practicum provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to further develop their knowledge and skills as mediators.
In this program, students observe sessions and work in pairs mediating actual cases with live supervision from our expert trainers. By the end of the program, each student will have completed 60 hours of advanced training, including a minimum of 8 sessions or one complete mediation.
Each three hour class typically consists of two mediation sessions, followed by debriefing and analysis with the other practicum students and the Director Trainers. Rigorous case discussion develops students’ abilities to use a growing repertoire of strategies and interventions.
60 hours is the minimum requirement for completion of the Supervised Practicum. The program is offered in 3-hour segments, every Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The fee is $3,000 payable over the course of four months.
